Description:rms Company is a state of the art facility that has the latest technology in precision machines to produce components, devices, and instruments for the medical device industry. Currently, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager to join our team. This individual will supervise Quality Engineering, Quality Coordinators, and Inspectors in a fast paced, job shop environment. The successful candidate will possess good organizational skills and must be a team player.
Duties:• Manage quality engineering in the implementation of process improvement with the use of Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments (DOE), and measurement analysis. Define project management for new products and projects in regards to customer requirements utilizing tools such as: Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), process flow mapping, control plan documentation and Capability Analysis.

• Manage quality coordinator and inspector group for meeting the expectation of customer requirements including: First Article inspection, preproduction planning, root cause analysis, in process and final inspection.

• Ensure divisional costs of quality (CoQ) metrics are aligned with the company’s strategic initiatives. Metrics include: scrap, rework, returns, appraisal and prevention. Establish programs to reduce metrics using continuous improvement tools.

• Actively participate in projects that support Lean Manufacturing initiatives resulting in improved profitability, work flow and team performance. Utilize and teach Lean tools including 5S, Kaizen, quick changeover, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, etc.

• Participate in assessing and improving the company manufacturing structure. Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary in accordance with company policy. Perform effective employee evaluations and establish meaningful goals.
Qualifications:Education/ Experience:
*Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of quality supervision experience, preferably in a job shop environment.
*Understanding of continuous improvement, SPC, and CoQ is essential.
*A four year undergraduate degree is a requirement.
